Misunderstandings The Film Heats Up DC

If you missed the opportunity to see New York Jets’ Safety Kerry Rhodes film his scene in the hot tub with that sexy female singer, be sure you do not miss another opportunity to make it one set of the film Misunderstandings. Additional cameos by former Redskins /Eagles player Darnerien McCants, Backyard Band and HBO’s The Wire’s Anwan “Big G” Glover, Washington DC’s 93.9 WKYS (Radio One) personality Jeannie Jones and US Olympian Michael Walton among others.

What happens when the perfect couple encounters a relationship dilemma? Is one to believe what they see, what they hear or what is in their heart? “Misunderstandings” is a romantic comedy about a couple who walks their way into an uncomfortable situation and takes a journey through the reality of unfair circumstances in effort to get to the truth. How far would you be willing to go to stay with the one you love?

The dynamic cast of Misunderstandings includes Walter Maxfield Jones as the Lawyer Rasan, Wil "Onix" Lash (VH1’s I Love NY) as the playboy Jamal, Victoria “Shaqwana” Davis (Russ Parr Morning Show) as the outrageous hair stylist Kim, Alex Scott (BET’s Coming To The Stage) as the not so savvy businessman Joe along with Tameika Chavis (HBO’s The Wire), Playboy Magazine model Joy Glass, Robyn Wood, Napoleon Rogers, Rodney Green, Valeta Sutton and introducing Danita Mischelle as the lead role of Nicole, the entertainment publicist. When it comes to the crew, the film has the 15 year media veteran Malik Pollard as its director of Photography, both Neeta Wooten and Tamiko Thomas (Owners of Ideal PR, LLC) as Executive Producers, Stefan Latoure as the film editor, Celena Gill as the Costume Designer with Tina Dirreuseaux as the Wardrobe Supervisor. On the music side super producer Dre Knight (LL Cool J, Memphis Bleek, Freeway, Musiq, etc) is the music supervisor, also scoring the film. With additional tracks from T3 (Slum Village), Teedra Moses, B Blunt and others, the soundtrack is sure to be a classic. Produced by Ideal PR, LLC this film has a memorable story line with clever humor that is mature enough for the adults, but family friendly enough for the entire family to enjoy.

“Misunderstandings” is currently filming in the Washington, DC area from November 30th – December 17th.
